Who is Ri, anyway?
Hey y’all! I’m Rielle. I’m a registered nurse, soon-to-be Psych Mental Health nurse practitioner student, skincare enthusiast, aesthetic aficionado, and writer. At my core, I’m a sucker for helping others and a creative with the need for an outlet; thus, from the city, with love was born. I want to share what I love, what I do, and what I’ve learned on my journey, with the hope that you’ll find some of it useful or inspiring on yours.
I created this blog to be a space filled with laughter, learning, and love. I am ever growing, and I want to invite you on that journey with me. If you’re reading this, it’s probably because you’re interested in something I’ve shared or some of the things that I have to say–and I’m equally as interested in you! On these pages, you’ll discover all things skincare and wellness. I’m extremely passionate about holistic health–that is, not only nurturing your body physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. As a healthcare professional, I encourage my patients to approach their health holistically; in the spirit of practicing what I preach, I make it a point to do the same for myself. Self-care is not selfish, it is self-preservation. I’m here to give you the keys to achieving a more balanced lifestyle, along with everything you never knew you needed for glowing, healthy skin.
I’m also diving deep into the world of nursing–there are so many stereotypes, myths, and misconceptions about the field, and it can often be confusing and even overwhelming to navigate, especially as a new nurse. I want to shed light on all this amazing profession has to offer, along with tips, tricks, and secrets all nurses should know!
Where did this blog name come from?
Ah, I thought you’d never ask! 🙂 from the city, with love embodies who I am as a person — a die-hard city girl, whose modus operandi is to navigate this world in light and love. Currently, I’m figuring this life thing out in Washington, DC, but my hometown, Chicago, lives in my blood and my bones. Honestly, I don’t think you could pay me to move away from city life; it’s too much of who I am.
