Y’all know I love me some Black-owned, woman-owned goodies. I’m passionate about wellness, and get even more excited when I know that a product or experience has been crafted with Blackness or womanhood in mind. Let’s jump right in with five Black woman-owned wellness brands that I am absolutely in love with at the moment.
The Honey Pot Co.
I’m sure we’re all familiar with Honey Pot from the huge social media uproar following a statement from the owner, Bea Dixon. If you’re out of the loop, she appeared in a Target commercial explaining how The Honey Pot Co. empowers little black girls to know that they, too, can be successful business owners — and white people, as they always do when everything isn’t revolving around them, threw a collective temper tantrum and tried to sabotage the brand with hundreds of 1-star reviews.
Of course, Black people Black-peopled, and Honey Pot sales doubled… oh hey, #BlackGirlMagic.
But that’s neither here nor there.
I’ve been a fan of the Honey Pot products. The brand consists of a collection of feminine hygiene products, from pH balanced vaginal wash, to refreshing wipes, to menstrual items. There’s even a sensitive and mommy-to-be line! For women struggling with pH imbalances and recurrent infections down there, Honey Pot is a Godsend. The best part? They’re 100% natural, created by women, and gynecologist approved. I love, I love, I love.
Golde
I’ve swooned about Golde before in this post, but for those who are new to the party (hey, girlfriend!), Golde is a wellness brand whose products are infused with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant-rich turmeric. Trinity Mouzon founded the brand with the intention of making wellness more inclusive, accessible, and fun.
I love their Matcha Turmeric Tonic, which I drink on the way to work for my morning energy boost. Each of their powdered tonics is composed of 6 to 7 superfoods that truly make you feel good from the inside out.
Femly
Femly, like The Honey Pot Co., is a Black woman-owned feminine hygiene company. Their products are 100% cotton and chemical free, and Femly is unique in that it offers a monthly subscription service. In addition, each purchase supports the company’s mission to help give access to menstrual products to women in need.
Unlike Honey Pot, I haven’t personally tried Femly yet–but I love their mission! Brands with purpose always get a bonus point in my book.
Alexandra Winbush
If I could describe my spirit animal in a brand, it would be Alexandra Winbush.
AW offers a variety of candles, teas, and playlists to truly help you unwind, find your peace, and lean into your soul-care. Her candles are beautifully packaged; each jar features a short poem that embodies the mood the candle is meant to set. Once your candle is lit, pour a warm cup of one of AW’s calming tea blends. Complete your self-care moment with a playlist that’s specially curated to complement the candle you’re burning. Everything about this brand is a vibe.
As if I wasn’t smitten enough, founder Brittney Winbush’s purpose through the brand is to increase mental health awareness in underserved communities. Did I mention that this brand is my spirit animal?
BLK + GRN
BLK + GRN is a marketplace for all-natural products from all-Black artisans. The small, Black-owned brands that are featured in the marketplace are all carefully curated by Black health experts. Each brand aligns with BLK + GRN’s overall values–“health, wellness, and community cultivation.”
They rigorously test the products they feature for quality and cleanliness. Products can’t be made with any of the ingredients BLK + GRN identify as the “toxic twenty,” and they screen each product with dermatologists, estheticians, and health experts for efficacy.
I love the concept of BLK + GRN–showcasing clean, high-quality, Black-owned brands in one well-curated space. The brands cover all things wellness and beauty, from skin and haircare, to bath and body, to home care.
I am always open to discovering new wellness brands, especially if they are Black or woman-owned. What are some of your faves?

Heads up if you’re planning to give the Honey Pot Co. products a chance – well at least their pads provide a bit of a light sting in a way that could be good or bad, just depends on your preference.
